Digital photography is a must part of scale model collection.
Few points for the newcommers:
1.Digital SLR are best as it is in other photography field as it gives you liberty of what,how you want to be phographied over point and shoot cameras.Remember,more small your model (i.e.1:64) less "f" will be required.1:18 models are not best shooted with Macro lenses.
2.Those who have not their DSLR,but have point and shoot one,use the macro mode(a red flower with two green leaves icon).
3.Still those who have no point and shoot even,but have mobile cameras with Carl Zeiss optics( some Sony Erricson mobile cams,Nokia N series N73ME onwards have it) can shoot in the simillar way as point and shoot camera-but a bit of photoshoping is reccomanded.
